Susan Beebe is a also successful business entrepreneur, published author, speaker, startup advisor and consultant.
Previously, she worked for Nelnet, Inc. (NNI) where she managed the IT Infrastructure Portfolio for the “Nelnet Enrollment Solutions” Division, which is comprised of two companies: CUnet.com and Petersons.com. Susan joined CUnet in 2007 with the task of building a PMO (Project Management Office) for the startup that was pushing $47m in revenue in it’s 4th year. Back in 2009, CUnet was on a 40% growth curve and enjoying rapid growth in it’s sixth year of success. When Susan first started at CUnet, she worked on prioritizing a backlog of “urgent” product innovations, web application improvements and new features. In only six months, she and the team devised a working PMO framework, workflow, processes and supporting templates, which was then integrated into the collaborative tools along with substantial change management to implement the new PMO. Her first project resulted in a comprehensive re-design of the search engine logic and UX, resulting in an additional $110,000+ in monthly revenue (lead generation volume increases).
In 2008, Susan led on an enterprise program across all Nelnet business units (11 companies) to advise the company on vendor selection for a vendor to provide commercial marketing email services (~51 m total / contract 18m volume – CPM), including in-depth CAN SPAM compliance verification for all use cases presented. Additionally, she implemented the enterprise wide program to update all Nelnet public-facing websites’ “Privacy Policy”, per legal privacy mandates effective October 2008.
She was a Strategy Advisor on Nelnet’s corporate marcom Social Media “task force” Team, which provides “social marketing” services to multiple affiliate companies across North America.
She is an advisor to multiple startup companies in NY and CA. She is a co-Founder of the Social Media Club of Rochester, NY. Susan has successfully established and developed numerous brands and supporting communities online for a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations.
Susan Beebe has her blog at http://SusanBeebe.com where she writes about technology, innovation, social media and business success.
